Artist Memoir: Stefano Lima, Studio Artist

“Glass of wine?” he asks, we are keeping it classy. I say “maybe later”, we aren’t trying to get sloppy. As we set up for the shoot, I explore his apartment finding unique trinkets, succulents and a wardrobe that would rival the inventory of shops in Union Square. Stefano, a graduate from San Francisco State University, has a style that is all his own. Focusing on studio art,  Stefano creates many sculptures, sketches and paintings. Previous works include multiple fashion shows consisting of haute couture created and tailored by Stefano.  When he is not in the studio he can be found at local thrift stores and antique stores searching for treasures. Maintaining a bustling social life, Stefano often travels to get inspired and reinvent himself. He is currently attending the Aveda Institute in Los Angeles, perfecting the art that is Cosmetology. To me he is the most interesting man in the world…

Artist Memoir: Melinda Giacalone, instagrammer, vintage lover

I am happy to bring you the next chapter in my Artist Memoir series! This is Melinda, a resident of San Francisco. Melinda has a creative eye for anything from shoes, vintage finds, fabulous dresses, old tile,  to donuts! If you have heard of Instagram (she is @melindaearle) maybe you have seen some of her pictures. She wanders around San Francisco, accompanied by her iphone,  capturing moments of urban bliss. Melinda has caught the attention of many Instagram users with shots of her oh so cute shoes, street furniture and the Richmond Chronicles. Her photos are a story of the  local shops, music venues, neighborhoods, and vistas San Francisco has to offer.  Here are some of the photos we took that day.

Ann and Brian: One Year Later

Welcome to February! Here are some photos from a photo shoot I had with Brian, Ann and their oh so cute Frenchie! I love these photos in black and white.  I feel they mesh well with their vintage vibe.  A little over a year ago, they got married at the cute Shakespeare Club in Placerville, CA. These photos were taken to celebrate a year in their new life together. Congratulations and may you have a lifetime of happiness!
